**Chennai, March 8, 2025** – Three men have been arrested by the Greater Chennai Cyber Crime Police for online trolling of Carnatic singer Isaivani following the resurgence of her 2018 song, “I am sorry Ayyappa.” The song, originally performed at the Neelam Culture Centre, recently gained widespread attention, sparking outrage among devotees of Lord Ayyappa and Hindu organizations. The ensuing online backlash led to Isaivani facing significant criticism and trolling.
Acting on a complaint filed last December, police booked the accused under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Information Technology Act. Those arrested are R. Ravichandran (44) of Tiruvannamalai, J. Suresh Kumar (64) of Pozhichalur, and Azhagu Pragaspathi (23) of Salem.
