LOS ANGELES – Hallmark Media announced today that its hit drama series, “The Way Home,” starring Andie MacDowell and Chyler Leigh, has been renewed for a fourth season, debuting in 2026. The announcement follows the conclusion of the show’s third season this Friday.
The series, a family drama with elements of romance and mystery, has proven highly popular, with its second season ranking as the most-watched cable series among women aged 18 and over. Hallmark SVP of Programming, Samantha DiPippo, praised the show’s writers, Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke, for their “carefully crafted storytelling” which has made the show “appointment television.”
The renewal comes after a brief controversy last year. Hallmark initially planned to move the third season exclusively to its streaming platform, Hallmark+, prompting backlash from fans concerned about the added subscription cost. However, the network reversed course following the outcry, ensuring the show remained accessible to its existing audience.
All three seasons of “The Way Home” are currently available for streaming on Hallmark+. The fourth season is slated to premiere sometime in 2026.
