**COLUMBIA, S.C. –** South Carolina Gamecocks junior forward Chloe Kitts has been named one of the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) National Players of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday. This follows her selection as SEC Co-Player of the Week on Monday.
Kitts averaged an impressive 14 points, 11.5 rebounds, 10.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game last week, shooting 50% from the field. Her performance included a historic triple-double against Ole Miss – only the ninth in South Carolina program history – and a strong double-double against Kentucky. These victories secured a share of the 2024-2025 SEC regular season championship for the Gamecocks.
Kitts shared the USBWA honor with Audi Crooks (Iowa State), JJ Quinerly (West Virginia), Shyanne Sellers (Maryland), and JuJu Watkins (Southern Cal). The Gamecocks, seeded #1 for the fourth consecutive year, begin their SEC Tournament run on Friday, March 7th.
