**GREENVILLE, SC** – LSU women’s basketball star Flau’jae Johnson will miss the upcoming SEC tournament due to shin inflammation, head coach Kim Mulkey announced Sunday. The junior guard, who leads the Tigers in scoring with an 18.9 points-per-game average, has been battling the injury since LSU’s February 16th loss to Texas.

Johnson sat out LSU’s regular season finale against Ole Miss on Sunday, marking only her second missed game in her college career. While the injury is not a stress fracture, Coach Mulkey stated that rest is crucial to manage the inflammation and ensure Johnson’s readiness for the NCAA tournament.
