NEW DELHI – International Women’s Day (IWD) will be observed globally on March 8, 2025, under the theme “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,” with a focused campaign theme of “Accelerate Action.” This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, renewing the urgency to achieve gender parity.
The “Accelerate Action” campaign highlights the slow progress toward gender equality and the need for immediate, decisive steps to overcome systemic barriers. At the current pace, full gender parity is projected for 2158 – a stark reminder of the urgency for change.
