**New Delhi, March 8, 2025** – The Delhi government has announced a new scheme providing a monthly stipend of ₹2,500 to women, fulfilling a key promise made during the recent election campaign. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta revealed the initiative on International Women’s Day, stating that the cabinet has approved a ₹5,100 crore budget for the program, initially referred to as “Mahila Samriddhi Yojana” in the BJP’s manifesto.
