**Ongole, March 8, 2025** – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu marked International Women’s Day by participating in state-level celebrations in Markapuram. The event showcased the achievements of women in various fields and highlighted several government initiatives aimed at empowering women.

Mr. Naidu visited stalls set up by women’s self-help groups (SHGs), disbursed loans to members, and interacted with women achievers and NGO representatives. He purchased a Ponduru cotton saree for his wife, demonstrating his support for women-led businesses.

The Chief Minister launched a coffee table book, “Reaching For The Skies,” featuring the success stories of 100 SHG women, and released a brochure outlining the “One Family One Entrepreneur” program, aiming to create one lakh women entrepreneurs in the state. He also felicitated 12 women from diverse backgrounds.

Mr. Naidu lauded the success of the Rythu Sadhikara Samstha, a community-managed natural farming program, which has trained 10.68 lakh women farmers, resulting in substantial income generation. This program has brought approximately 12.38 lakh acres of agricultural land under natural farming. The celebrations underscored the state government’s commitment to women’s empowerment and economic independence.
