**NEW DELHI, March 8, 2025** – Over 4.2 million students across India and 26 countries are currently sitting the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 Mathematics exam. The exam, which began at 10:30 am today, is being held across 7,842 centres nationwide.
This year’s CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams, which started on February 15th, see a total of approximately 4.2 million students from 8,000 schools participating. The Class 10 exams commenced with English, while Class 12 students began with Entrepreneurship. The Class 10 exams conclude on March 18th, and the Class 12 exams will wrap up on April 4th.
The CBSE has issued strict guidelines for today’s examination. Students were required to arrive at their designated centres before 10:00 am with their admit cards and school ID cards. Electronic devices, including mobile phones and smartwatches, are strictly prohibited. Students are also reminded to adhere to the dress code and only bring permitted stationery. The board has further urged students to refrain from sharing exam-related materials or spreading rumors on social media platforms. The Class 12 Math exam is expected to conclude around 1:30 pm.
