**NEW DELHI, March 8, 2025** – The Centre for Sight (CFS) has introduced a revolutionary AI-driven LASIK laser surgery technology, AMARIS 1050RS with Foresight software, capable of correcting vision in under ten seconds per eye. This advanced technology offers enhanced precision and optimized patient outcomes by reshaping and repairing the cornea.
According to Dr. Mahipal S. Sachdev, chairman and medical director of CFS, the AMARIS 1050RS utilizes a high-speed laser with real-time eye movement tracking (1050 times per second), significantly improving accuracy over previous technologies. The Foresight software allows surgeons to virtually predict the post-operative corneal shape, ensuring greater precision in treatment planning. The procedure, costing under ₹1.5 lakh for both eyes, uses only drop anesthesia and corrects various refractive errors, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
Beyond standard LASIK, the technology also facilitates the treatment of complex corneal conditions like keratoconus through techniques like TREK and TCAT. These customized procedures optimize corneal reshaping while preserving tissue, significantly reducing the reliance on specialized contact lenses.
Dominic von Planta, CEO of Schwind Eye-Tech Solutions, emphasized the technology’s personalized approach, highlighting its speed, safety, and ability to adapt to the unique characteristics of each eye. The quicker recovery time allows patients to resume their daily routines with ease.
