**Kollam, Kerala – March 7, 2025** – A 20-year-old youth, identified as Faisal, was arrested in Eravipuram, Kollam district, on Friday for possession of MDMA. The arrest was a collaborative effort between the Eravipuram Police and the District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF).

Police apprehended Faisal during a routine patrol in the Karithas Garden area. A search revealed 3.24 grams of MDMA, pre-packaged for sale, in his possession. Authorities believe the drugs were intended for distribution among students in the Thanni area of Eravipuram.

The arresting team included Eravipuram Police Inspector Rajeev, along with several Sub-Inspectors and CPOs from the Kollam City DANSAF team. Faisal, son of Navas from Puthan Veedu, Umayanalloor Vayal, Thazhuthala, is currently in police custody. Further investigations are underway.
