KANSAS CITY, MO – Over a year after three men were found dead at a Northland home, two suspects have been charged in their deaths. Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson face charges stemming from the deaths of Clayton McGeeney, Ricky Johnson, and David Harrington, whose bodies were discovered on January 9, 2024, following a Kansas City Chiefs game.

According to Platte County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Zahnd and Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves, the men died from a combined toxicity of fentanyl and cocaine. A probable cause statement details witness accounts and forensic evidence linking Willis and Carson to the supply of the drugs. Witnesses reported that the group obtained cocaine from Carson, who admitted to supplying them, and that Willis frequently provided money for their drug use. Forensic analysis revealed Willis’ DNA on a bag of cocaine and Carson’s DNA on a bag of fentanyl found at Willis’ residence. Further evidence included cell phone data showing Harrington’s communication with Carson regarding cocaine purchases.

Willis’ attorney, John Picerno, expressed surprise at the charges, stating that the prosecution’s stance had changed and that Willis maintains his innocence, claiming he was unaware of how his friends died and cooperated fully with the police investigation. Both Willis and Carson are being held on $100,000 bonds.

The prosecuting attorney emphasized the dangers of street drugs, particularly fentanyl, urging the public to reconsider purchasing illegal substances. The case remains under investigation.
