**Ambernath, Maharashtra –** A 38-year-old resident of Chikloli, Ambernath, Thane district, has fallen victim to a forex investment scam, losing ₹13.54 lakh. Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against three individuals – Anup Kamal, Sonia, and Hamza Khan – after the victim reported being defrauded.
Between February 2nd and 14th, the victim was contacted by the accused who promised high returns on foreign exchange investments. Following their instructions, he transferred the substantial sum to various bank accounts. However, when he attempted to claim his promised returns, the accused became uncontactable.
The Ambarnath West police are now investigating the case and actively pursuing the recovery of the lost funds and the apprehension of the accused.
