**New York, NY –** A new indictment against Sean “Diddy” Combs, adding detail to existing sex trafficking and racketeering charges, was unsealed Thursday. While containing no new charges, the indictment alleges that Combs forced employees to work excessive hours under duress, using threats of physical, financial, and reputational harm to maintain control. Prosecutors claim this coercion extended to compelling at least one employee into sexual acts with Combs.
The 55-year-old music executive is already facing a May 5th trial on federal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies all wrongdoing, including allegations in dozens of civil lawsuits filed against him. Many of these civil suits, filed under a 2022 New York City law, accuse Combs of sexual assault and other misconduct. The deadline for filing these suits recently expired.
The new indictment describes a pattern of forced labor extending from 2004 to 2024, alleging Combs and his associates used intimidation tactics to control employees, who were subjected to long hours with minimal sleep. Prosecutors have requested an arraignment on the amended indictment for March 14th and indicated they will provide further details to Combs’ legal team by March 10th. Combs remains in a Brooklyn jail awaiting trial. His legal representatives have yet to comment on the updated indictment.
