**Philadelphia, PA – [Date of Publication]** – PECO Energy Company announced today that starting March 1st, customers will see a slight decrease in their electric bills but a considerable increase in their natural gas costs.

For residential customers using a typical amount of electricity (700 kWh), the monthly electric bill will decrease by just $0.33, a negligible 0.23% reduction. This decrease is attributed to lower generation charges from suppliers. Small commercial customers will also see a reduction in their electric generation charges.

However, natural gas customers face a more substantial increase. Residential customers using 80 Ccf of natural gas per month will see their bills jump by $8.70 (7.74%), while commercial customers using 400 Ccf will experience an even larger $43.45 increase (9.60%).

PECO offered energy-saving tips to help customers mitigate rising heating costs, including maintaining a thermostat at 68°F or lower, using blankets and warm clothing, and strategically using ceiling fans and window coverings. Additional tips focused on efficient lighting practices (switching to LEDs, minimizing usage) and appliance use (optimizing dishwasher and washing machine cycles, keeping refrigerators full, and regularly cleaning appliances).
