**New Delhi, March 7, 2025** – Popular YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija have issued written apologies to the National Commission for Women (NCW) following a public outcry over offensive remarks made on the online show, India’s Got Latent. The apologies came after the pair, along with producers Saurabh Bothra and Tushar Poojari, appeared before the NCW on Thursday for questioning.
NCW chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar stated that the commission found the comments unacceptable and that the apologies were submitted as “maafinama” (written apologies). While expressing regret, Allahbadia reportedly assured the NCW that this would be a one-time occurrence and that he would be more mindful of his language in the future.
The NCW’s action follows widespread outrage last month over comments made by Allahbadia, Mukhija, and others during an appearance on comedian Samay Raina’s show. Several FIRs were previously filed against Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, for his remarks on parents and sex. Although granted interim protection from arrest by the Supreme Court, the court described his comments as vulgar and shameful. The NCW emphasized its firm stance against the use of inappropriate language and reiterated that such remarks are unacceptable.
