Fri Mar 07 15:33:11 UTC 2025: ## Telangana Government Clears ₹10,000 Crore in Employee Dues, Promises to Clear More
**Hyderabad, March 7, 2025** – The Telangana government has cleared ₹10,000 crore in pending dues owed to government employees over the past 14 months, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced Friday. Speaking at a meeting with the Joint Action Committee of government employees, Vikramarka stated that the previous government left behind ₹5,000 crore in unpaid bills, and a similar amount accrued during the current administration’s tenure.
The government has already cleared these outstanding payments, but acknowledges that ₹8,000 crore still remains unpaid. To address this, Vikramarka outlined a plan to clear ₹500-600 crore in dues each month, starting in April, prioritizing outstanding bills.
While the government now ensures timely salary and pension payments on the first of each month for nearly 13 lakh employees, Vikramarka admitted that retirement benefits, medical reimbursements, and other dues are still outstanding. He assured employees that the government is committed to resolving these issues swiftly. Further, the government is also working to address non-financial concerns raised by employees. The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the government’s dedication to ensuring employees do not face repeated visits to offices to claim their dues.
