**Hyderabad, March 7, 2025** – Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has called on party members to recommit to serving the interests of the Telangana people. Addressing a large gathering of party leaders at his Erravelli farmhouse on Friday, Rao emphasized the BRS’s role as a protector of Telangana’s interests, asserting that the people are recognizing this after just 15 months of Congress rule.
Rao announced a massive public meeting in Warangal on April 27th, the party’s foundation day and part of its silver jubilee celebrations. He criticized the Congress government, claiming that false promises and subsequent policy decisions have negatively impacted the state’s progress, undoing the socio-economic development achieved during the BRS’s previous tenure. He expressed confidence that the people, having realized their mistake, are prepared to return the BRS to power.
The meeting, attended by key party figures including working president K.T. Rama Rao and several MPs and MLAs, focused on strategizing for the upcoming Assembly budget session and MLC elections. Rao stressed the need for increased participation from women and youth within the party. He also highlighted the challenges posed by what he described as the Centre’s anti-Telangana policies and the lack of BRS representation in the Lok Sabha.
