**GUWAHATI, March 7, 2025** – Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia (“BeerBiceps”) was questioned for four hours today by the Guwahati Police’s crime branch regarding controversial remarks made on the “India’s Got Latent” show. The questioning follows a February case filed against Allahbadia and four other YouTubers – Ashish Chanchlani, Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija – under sections of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhtia, Information Technology Act, and Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
Joint Commissioner of Police Ankur Jain stated that Allahbadia cooperated with the investigation and answered questions about the episode. While Mr. Chanchlani has also been questioned, notices were served to Raina, Singh, and Makhija, with further action pending their responses. The police will decide on issuing fresh notices based on their explanations. The investigation is ongoing, and further summons may be issued depending on its progress. The Supreme Court previously granted Allahbadia protection from arrest and barred new FIRs.
