**Visakhapatnam, India** – Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that the government is open to making revisions to the recently presented budget based on feedback received from various stakeholders across the country. This includes consultations with businessmen, chartered accountants, lawyers, and industry associations.

Sitharaman’s statement came during a meeting in Visakhapatnam with economists and intellectuals, where she also addressed concerns regarding potential US tariffs on Indian goods. She confirmed that Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal is currently in the US engaging in discussions with US trade officials to address these concerns, focusing on the impact on Indian exports.

The Finance Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to Andhra Pradesh, assuring that all centrally-sponsored projects in the state will receive necessary support. She also highlighted ongoing efforts to restore the former glory of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

Sitharaman explained the budget amendment process, noting that further discussions and potential revisions will occur after the budget is tabled and before the Finance Bill is passed in Parliament.
