**Beed, Maharashtra:** Police in Maharashtra’s Beed district have launched an investigation and filed a case against five individuals following the emergence of a disturbing video on social media. The video depicts a brutal assault on a man using a cricket bat.
The incident, believed to have occurred in Bawi village, shows Sachin Bhosale of Zapewadi and four unidentified accomplices attacking the victim. While the victim’s identity remains unknown at this time, Shirur police registered a First Information Report (FIR) on Wednesday night based on the viral footage.
Authorities are actively working to identify and locate the victim to understand the circumstances leading to the attack. The five accused have been charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for voluntarily causing hurt and using dangerous weapons. The investigation is ongoing.
