Thu Mar 06 15:50:34 UTC 2025: ## Honey Singh Indore Concert on Hold Until Entertainment Tax Paid

**Indore, Madhya Pradesh –** Yo Yo Honey Singh’s scheduled concert in Indore this Saturday is in jeopardy unless organizers pay outstanding entertainment taxes, the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) announced Thursday.

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava has formally requested the District Magistrate and Police Commissioner to withhold approval for the event until the tax is paid. The IMC cites the Madhya Pradesh Municipality Tax Rules 2018, which mandate a 10% entertainment tax on the total ticket sales for commercial music events.

According to Mayor-in-Council member and revenue department in-charge Niranjan Singh Chauhan Guddu, failure to collect the tax would result in a censure motion against responsible officials and a complaint to the Lokayukta police (anti-corruption agency). Guddu highlights the IMC’s revenue losses due to unpaid taxes from past events, including a recent Diljit Dosanjh concert. The IMC is determined to prevent further losses and ensure compliance with existing regulations.
