**New Delhi, March 4, 2025** – India is set to host its inaugural World Para Athletics Grand Prix from March 11th to 13th at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. Over 20 countries will participate in the three-day event, featuring 90 events. Participating nations include Germany, Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, among others.
The Grand Prix will be attended by high-profile figures such as Majid Rashed, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC), and Tarek Souei, CEO of the APC. Paralympic Committee of India President Devendra Jhajharia hailed the event as a significant step, stating that hosting the Grand Prix demonstrates India’s commitment to para-sports and sets a precedent for future international tournaments within the country.
