Mon Mar 03 16:22:15 UTC 2025: ## Mother and Daughter Found Dead in Thoothukudi Home; Police Investigate
**THOOTHUKUDI, March 3, 2025** – A 70-year-old woman and her 48-year-old daughter were found dead inside their home in Melanambipuram near Ettayapuram, Thoothukudi district, on March 3rd. Police discovered the bodies of P. Seethalakshmi and V. Ramajayanthi after neighbors reported that the women hadn’t been seen since the previous evening.
Initial investigations indicate that jewelry belonging to the deceased is missing, leading police to suspect foul play. Fingerprint experts and forensic officials have been deployed to the scene to gather evidence. Thoothukudi District Superintendent of Police Albert John visited the crime scene and is overseeing the investigation.
Four special teams have been formed to determine whether the deaths were the result of murder, suicide, or another cause. Authorities are exploring all possible motives.
