Mon Mar 03 16:20:27 UTC 2025: ## CCTV Footage Shows Suspect Dragging Suitcase Containing Murdered Congress Worker’s Body
**Rohtak, Haryana –** A chilling CCTV video has emerged showing the suspect dragging a suitcase containing the body of Himani Narwal, a Congress party worker, down a deserted road. The footage, obtained by police, shows the masked man moving the black hard-shell luggage around 10:16 pm on February 28th. Narwal’s body was discovered inside the suitcase near a bus stand in Rohtak on Saturday.
Sachin, a friend of the victim, has been arrested and charged with her murder. Police say a heated argument between the two led to Narwal being strangled with a mobile phone charger. Additional DGP K K Rao stated that a monetary dispute may have been involved, but this is yet to be confirmed. Following the murder, Sachin allegedly stole Narwal’s jewelry and laptop, hiding them in his shop in Jhajjar before returning to her home, placing her body in the suitcase, and disposing of it near the Sampla bus stand.
Narwal, in her late twenties, was a well-regarded and active member of the Congress party, according to Rohtak MLA BB Batra, who described her as a “very good and active worker.” Her family, who initially refused cremation until the arrest was made, held her funeral this evening. Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has spoken with the Rohtak superintendent of police regarding the ongoing investigation. Authorities have vowed to ensure severe punishment for those responsible.
