**Chennai, March 4, 2025** – A major breakthrough in a city-wide cocaine trafficking operation has led to the arrest of Ebere Moses Ogbodo, a 30-year-old Nigerian national identified as the main supplier for a cocaine cartel. Ogbodo was apprehended in Bengaluru and subsequently brought to Chennai.
The arrest follows earlier crackdowns which resulted in the arrest of 19 other individuals linked to the cartel. Police seized 59.93 grams of cocaine, 1.15 kilograms of ganja, ganja oil, and 14 mobile phones during the investigation. Analysis of call records and bank transactions implicated Ogbodo as the primary supplier. He has been remanded to prison after appearing in court.
