Tue Mar 04 04:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Utah Hockey Club Edges Out Blackhawks in Thrilling 2-1 Victory
**SALT LAKE CITY, UT** – The Utah Hockey Club rallied from a one-goal deficit to defeat the Chicago Blackhawks 2-1 Tuesday night at home, extending their winning streak to three games. Lawson Crouse’s backhand goal with 7:48 remaining in the third period proved to be the game-winner.
Chicago opened the scoring early in the first period with a power-play goal from Seth Jones. However, Utah’s Clayton Keller tied the game late in the second period, setting the stage for a dramatic finish. Keller, who leads the team with 33 points in 29 home games, continued his strong home performance.
Karel Vejmelka was stellar in net for Utah, making 21 saves to secure the victory. Arvid Soderblom stopped 34 shots for Chicago, but ultimately couldn’t prevent the loss, their fourth straight (0-3-1) and seventh in eight games (1-5-2). The Blackhawks’ usually struggling penalty kill performed admirably, successfully killing all five Utah power plays.
Utah’s offensive resurgence in the final two periods, after a slow first, was key to their victory. They outshot Chicago 28-10 over those periods after managing only eight in the opening frame. The win marks Utah’s fifth in their last seven games.
The Blackhawks now face a tough road matchup against Vegas on Thursday, while Utah will host the Minnesota Wild at home.
