Mon Mar 03 23:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Southern Colorado Braces for Overnight Blizzard, Messy Commute Expected

**Colorado Springs, CO** – Southern Colorado is facing a tumultuous night following a day of extreme fire danger. High winds, gusting up to 65 mph, are expected to continue overnight, bringing with them snow and blizzard conditions in several areas.

Blizzard warnings are in effect for northern El Paso County and eastward along the I-70 corridor. The heaviest snowfall is expected overnight, leading to a potentially hazardous morning commute with significantly reduced visibility. Snow accumulation will be greatest in northern areas.

While snow is expected to linger into Tuesday morning, conditions are expected to improve throughout the day. However, another flurry or two can’t be ruled out in the afternoon. Severe weather warnings and watches will be lifted as conditions improve. Temperatures will remain cool.

The National Weather Service urges residents to download the KKTV 11 Breaking Weather app for the latest updates. While Wednesday is predicted to be dry with seasonal temperatures, more unsettled weather is anticipated later in the week. Further details will be provided.
