**Chennai, March 4, 2025** – Ambattur Police have arrested five men in connection with the murder of 40-year-old contractor R. Dinesh Babu. Babu, a resident of Teachers’ Colony, Ambattur, was found dead on the Ambattur Taluk office road on Friday. Police launched an investigation following a complaint from his mother.

A special team, formed by Avadi City Police Commissioner K. Shankar, analyzed CCTV footage and mobile phone signals to identify and apprehend the suspects. The arrested individuals are S. Rajavel (31), K. Manikandan (21), Mohammed Subir (21), T. Yesu Raja (43), and N. Perumal (42). Police sources indicate the murder stemmed from prior enmity. Further investigations are underway.
