**Hyderabad, March 4, 2025** – The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has launched a new call center to assist citizens with the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) and registration of plots in unauthorized layouts. The call center can be reached at 1800 599 8838.
This announcement comes alongside an update to the LRS 2020 website, which now allows users to check application status, approval proceedings, fee details, shortfalls, and rejection letters without logging in.
A recent amendment to the LRS allows the registration of unregistered plots in unauthorized layouts, provided at least 10% of the plots were sold via registered sale deed before August 26, 2020, regardless of prior LRS 2020 application status.
Applications for plots within 200 meters of water bodies will be processed by the Revenue and Irrigation Department. For other plots, provisional LRS fee notices will be automatically generated. Applicants who pay by March 31, 2025 will receive a 25% rebate. Alternatively, applicants can opt to pay pro-rata open space charges during building permission, forfeiting the rebate.
