Sun Mar 02 07:53:28 UTC 2025: ## Celestial Spectacle: Seven Planets Align in Rare Night Sky Display
**CHENNAI, March 2, 2025** – Stargazers were treated to a rare celestial event late last month as seven planets aligned in the night sky. From February 28th, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune appeared in a line, creating a visual spectacle known as a planetary parade.
While such alignments aren’t scientifically significant, they are visually stunning and infrequent. Parades involving three or four planets occur periodically, but a seven-planet alignment, as witnessed recently, is exceptionally rare, with the next predicted occurrence not until 2040 (involving six planets).
The closer planets were visible to the naked eye, but viewing Uranus and Neptune required telescopes. The alignment is a result of the planets orbiting the sun in roughly the same plane, causing periodic visual conjunctions from Earth’s perspective.
