**Vellore, Tamil Nadu, February 28, 2025** – Three young men have been arrested in Vellore for the murder of a 55-year-old private company employee, S. Venkatesan. The accused, identified as K. Prakash (20), V. Ajith (20), and Jawahar (26), were apprehended following a road rage incident that led to Venkatesan’s death.
Police reports indicate that the incident occurred on Filter Bed Road when Venkatesan, riding a two-wheeler, fell after the trio sped past him. A subsequent argument escalated, resulting in Venkatesan being pushed to the ground, losing consciousness. Despite being rushed to Government Pentland Hospital by passersby, he was declared dead on arrival.
Acting on orders from SP N. Mathivanan, special police teams were formed to swiftly apprehend the suspects. All three accused, residents of Thottapalayam, have been arrested and remanded to Vellore Central Prison. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
