NEW DELHI – The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced an extension to the application deadline for its Level-1 Group D recruitment drive for 2024. The online registration window, initially scheduled to close on February 22nd, 2025, will now close at 11:59 PM on March 1st, 2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill over 32,000 vacancies across various railway zones.
Aspirants who have yet to apply can do so through the official regional websites of the RRB. The application process commenced on January 23rd, 2025. The deadline for online fee submission has also been extended to March 3rd, 2025 (previously February 24th). Candidates will have the opportunity to make corrections to their application forms from March 4th to 13th, 2025 (previously February 25th to March 6th).
A total of 32,438 vacancies are available, with the highest number (4785) in Delhi, followed by Mumbai (4672). Detailed state-wise and category-wise vacancy information is available in the notification.
Applicants must possess a high school (10th standard) qualification from a recognized board. Physical fitness tests are required, with different standards for male and female candidates. The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 36 years, with relaxations for reserved categories. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹18,000 under the 7th Pay Commission.
