Fri Feb 28 22:50:00 UTC 2025: **NBA MVP Jokic to Face Pistons in Detroit; Murray Probable, Gordon Questionable for Nuggets**

DETROIT – Three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic will play for the Denver Nuggets tonight against the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena, the team announced Friday. The Nuggets’ star center was not listed on the injury report ahead of the 7 p.m. tip-off.

This game marks the second half of a back-to-back for the Nuggets (38-21), who lost to the Milwaukee Bucks Thursday night. Jokic delivered a strong performance in that game, contributing 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. Last season, he was ejected during a game in Detroit.

The Nuggets face a Pistons (33-26) team riding an eight-game winning streak, their best stretch in nearly two decades. Currently a game behind the Indiana Pacers for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Pistons pose a significant challenge.

While Jokic is set to play, the Nuggets’ injury report shows Jamal Murray as probable (left knee inflammation) and Aaron Gordon as questionable (left ankle sprain). Both players saw significant minutes in the game against Milwaukee. For the Pistons, Simone Fontecchio (right finger) and Dennis Schröder (left ankle) are probable after missing Wednesday’s game.

The matchup promises excitement, considering the Nuggets defeated the Pistons in Denver earlier this season, 134-121.
