**New Delhi, February 12, 2025** – The Mahindra Thar Roxx is a strong contender for the prestigious “Car of the Year” award after a stellar performance at the jury evaluation round held at the Buddh International Circuit on February 11th. The robust SUV impressed judges with its exceptional stability, comprehensive feature set, high-quality finish, and refined engine performance.

The Thar Roxx, launched in August 2024, competed against a diverse field of nominees including the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, MG Windsor EV, Toyota Camry, Tata Punch EV, and Citroen Basalt. Priced between Rs 12.99 lakh and Rs 23.09 lakh (ex-showroom), the Thar Roxx offers buyers a compelling combination of off-road capability and modern features.

Powering the Thar Roxx are two engine options: a 174 hp, 2.0-litre TGDi mStallion petrol engine and a 172 hp, 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. Both are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, with RWD and 4×4 options available depending on the engine and trim.

Six trim levels – MX1, MX3, AX3L, MX5, AX5L, and AX7L – cater to a range of preferences. Features across the range include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED projector headlamps, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, push-button start, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety is prioritized with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS features, and rear disc brakes.

The Thar Roxx boasts substantial dimensions (4428 mm L x 1870 mm W x 1923 mm H), a generous 225 mm ground clearance, and a 447-litre boot.
