**Mexico City, Mexico** – A 28-year-old Cancun businessman, identified as Diego “N,” was fatally shot Thursday inside an Arnol’s gym in Mexico City’s Doctores neighborhood. The shooting, captured on a widely circulated 17-second video, occurred at the intersection of Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas and Doctor Río de la Loza.

According to the Mexico City Security Secretariat (SSC), police arriving at the scene found Diego “N” and a 23-year-old Venezuelan woman with injuries. Diego “N,” suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, was transported to a hospital where he later died. The woman sustained an abrasion to her right leg and a cut on her right hand.

A handgun was recovered from Diego “N.’s backpack and is now part of the ongoing investigation. SSC Secretary Pablo Vásquez Camacho announced the arrest of a 19-year-old foreign national, reported by some outlets as Canadian, in connection with the crime. The suspect was apprehended with a firearm equipped with a silencer and presented to the Attorney General’s Office.

The video shows Diego “N” and the woman entering the gym followed by the assailant, who immediately shoots Diego “N” before fleeing. Patrons inside the gym react to the shooting and disperse. The investigation is ongoing.
