Thu Feb 27 18:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Creator of Ubiquitous “Thank You Jesus” Signs Arrested on Child Exploitation Charges

**Asheboro, NC** – Lucas Hunt, the 25-year-old co-founder of the popular “Thank You Jesus” sign ministry, was arrested Tuesday and charged with one count of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The Randolph County Sheriff’s office reports that Hunt willingly received a video depicting underage girls engaged in explicit acts.

Hunt, who co-created the signs with Connie Frazier in 2016, was released on a $75,000 bond after a Wednesday court appearance. He is scheduled to return to court on March 19th. The investigation, initiated by the Invictus Task Force following a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, is ongoing.

The “Thank You Jesus” signs, which have become a common sight across thousands of U.S. front yards, generate proceeds for local Christian organizations through the Thank You Jesus Mission, a non-profit co-founded by Hunt and Frazier. While the website has removed Hunt’s name from the organization’s history section, Frazier released a statement acknowledging Hunt’s past contributions but declined to comment on the current charges.

The arrest has sent shockwaves through the community, contrasting sharply with Hunt’s previous public image as a youth minister and camp counselor. In a 2017 interview, Hunt described his experience mentoring children at a summer camp. The Thank You Jesus Mission now sells a wide range of merchandise featuring the popular slogan, with over 250,000 signs sold to date.
