Fri Feb 28 08:33:12 UTC 2025: ## Telangana CM Rebukes Union Minister for Delaying Key Projects
**Hyderabad, February 28, 2025** – Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy today strongly criticized Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy for allegedly obstructing crucial infrastructure projects in the state. Reddy accused Kishan Reddy of irresponsibility and double standards, citing the approval of similar projects in other states while neglecting Telangana’s requests.
Reddy highlighted the Telangana government’s applications for clearance on Phase II of the Hyderabad Metro, the Regional Ring Road (RRR), a dry port, and a greenfield highway connecting to Andhra Pradesh’s seaports. He noted that these projects, totaling ₹1.63 lakh crore, have been submitted to the central government with the state offering to share costs, but have received no response.
The Chief Minister contrasted this inaction with the central government’s approval of metro expansions in Bengaluru and Chennai. He also pointed out that Kishan Reddy had previously supported similar projects elsewhere, such as the Sabarmati riverfront and Ganga rejuvenation projects, yet was now opposing the Musi river rejuvenation project in Hyderabad.
Reddy challenged Kishan Reddy to explain his lack of support for Telangana’s projects and questioned his contribution to the state while serving in the Union Cabinet. He emphasized the importance of these projects for Hyderabad’s development and the state’s economy. Reddy stated that the Telangana government is committed to transparency and the federal spirit of the Constitution, and urged Kishan Reddy to fulfill his responsibility in securing necessary clearances and funding.
