**Bengaluru, February 28, 2025:** Bengaluru city police announced a major crackdown on drug trafficking, arresting seven individuals and seizing 50 kilograms of ganja (cannabis) worth ₹11.22 lakh. The operation, spanning multiple police station jurisdictions, also resulted in the confiscation of three two-wheelers and a mobile phone.
The Upparpet police station led the largest single seizure, arresting three suspects and confiscating 14 kilograms of ganja valued at ₹7 lakh, along with two two-wheelers. Other arrests and seizures included: one suspect and 5 kilograms of ganja (₹2 lakh) from Mahadevapura police station; two suspects, 9 grams of MDMA, 1 kilogram of ganja, and a two-wheeler (₹1.62 lakh) from Kalasipalya; and one suspect and 30 grams of MDMA (₹60,000) from Cottonpet. The investigation is ongoing.
