**New Delhi, February 28, 2025** – Delhi’s Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh launched a scathing attack on the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on Thursday, accusing it of negligence in infrastructure development and ordering a probe into the alleged non-installation of CCTV cameras in eight BJP constituencies.
Addressing the Delhi Assembly, Mr. Singh stated that the AAP administration had installed substandard CCTV cameras across the city. He announced the prioritization of CCTV camera installations in the eight constituencies previously represented by the BJP.
During an inspection of the Barapullah flyover and surrounding areas, the Minister highlighted a two-year-old damaged culvert, promising repairs by April. He also criticized the AAP government for cost overruns on the Barapullah project, attributing the doubling of costs to alleged neglect and lack of ministerial oversight.
Mr. Singh further directed PWD officials to expedite several projects, including sewer and footpath cleaning, flyover construction, and pavement beautification. The Minister’s statements mark a clear escalation of the BJP’s criticism of the previous AAP government’s infrastructure record.
