**Patna, Bihar, February 28, 2025** – Prashant Kishor, leader of the Jan Suraaj Party, has launched a scathing attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, declaring that the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) should not win a single seat in the upcoming state assembly elections. Kishor, a former political strategist, described Kumar as “physically tired and mentally retired,” criticizing his shifting alliances throughout his political career.
Kishor’s ambitious goal is to propel his own party, the Jan Suraaj Party, to prominence. He plans a massive rally, the “Badlo Bihar” rally, on April 11th, predicting record-breaking attendance. He anticipates potential obstacles from the ruling dispensation in securing permission for the rally.
The former JD(U) vice president also accused the BJP of using Kumar as a “mask” to retain power, alleging that the recent cabinet expansion—just six months before the elections—was primarily aimed at appeasing certain castes and facilitating the looting of public funds. He further criticized both the NDA and the RJD-led opposition, claiming the public is disillusioned with both.
Responding to comments made by Chief Minister Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, who recently defended his father’s fitness for office, Kishor issued a challenge: He dared Nitish Kumar to name the state cabinet ministers without notes, offering to quit politics and work for Kumar if he succeeds. This challenge comes amidst speculation that Nishant Kumar might enter politics himself. Kishor, however, refrained from extensive comment on Nishant’s potential political ambitions, citing his current absence from public life.
