**LAHORE, PAKISTAN** – England’s limited-overs captain, Jos Buttler, has announced his resignation following England’s disappointing early exit from the Champions Trophy. The 34-year-old cited the team’s recent string of failures in major ICC tournaments as the primary reason for his decision.
Buttler, who led England to T20 World Cup glory in 2022, admitted that the team’s elimination from the Champions Trophy, following defeats to Australia and Afghanistan, marked the end of his captaincy tenure.
