BHADRADRI KOTHAGUDEM, India (February 28, 2025) – A headmaster of a Zilla Parishad High School in Kothagudem, Telangana, has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on charges of bribery. Tati Ravinder was caught red-handed allegedly accepting a ₹20,000 bribe from a self-defence trainer.
The bribe was allegedly solicited in exchange for processing a ₹30,000 honorarium owed to the trainer under a government self-defence training program. Ravinder reportedly claimed the money was needed for providing snacks to students.
This marks a rare instance of a government school headmaster being arrested for corruption in the former Khammam district. The ACB launched an investigation following a complaint and apprehended Ravinder while he accepted the bribe at the school. A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway.
