Fri Feb 28 12:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Lancaster Artist’s Miniature Garden Wins Big at Philadelphia Flower Show

**Philadelphia, PA** – Jet Tawara, a Lancaster County resident, has once again captivated judges at the Philadelphia Flower Show with her incredibly detailed miniature gardens. This year’s entry, a tiny landscape featuring a 3D-printed shed with a green roof and a miniature greenhouse, showcases her artistic talents and innovative use of technology.

The Philadelphia Flower Show, themed “Gardens of Tomorrow,” typically features large, bold designs. However, Tawara’s miniature creations stand out, showcasing her mastery of detail and her ability to create realistic, albeit incredibly small, worlds. She uses 3D printing, die-cutting machines, and AI to craft her miniature worlds, which she populates with an array of carefully selected miniature plants.

Tawara, who previously won first prize for a Day of the Dead-themed miniature, built her latest entry over the course of a year. The shed, complete with a functional greenhouse, houses tillandsia, succulents, and other miniature plants, all meticulously chosen for their compact size and ability to thrive during the show’s 10-day run. She even hand-soldered tiny 3D-printed candles for her previous winning entry.

“When I think about ‘Gardens of Tomorrow,’ it’s growing in every space possible,” Tawara explains, highlighting the innovative spirit of her design. Even the shed’s roof is planted with sedum, illustrating her commitment to utilizing every available space.

Tawara’s miniature gardens are not merely artistic creations; they reflect a passion cultivated since childhood. Inspired by her parents’ love of gardening and miniatures, she turned her childhood fascination into a winning career. Her work combines her background in video game design and graphic design, resulting in intricate and realistic miniature landscapes that continue to impress the judges and visitors of the Philadelphia Flower Show.

The Philadelphia Flower Show runs from March 1st to 9th at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Tickets are available online and at the box office.
