**Kozhikode, Kerala –** Four high school students have been booked by police following a violent clash near a private tuition center in Thamarassery, Kozhikode. The incident, which occurred on February 23rd, resulted in a Class 10 student, Mohammed Shahabas, suffering severe head injuries and falling into a coma.
The fight, reportedly involving around 15 students from two different schools, erupted after an argument over music being stopped during a farewell party dance performance at the tuition center. Police suspect a WhatsApp group was used to organize the clash. While initially taken home by some of the involved students, Shahabas was later admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
Police have questioned two students believed to have instigated the fight. The investigation is ongoing.
