**Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, Feb 28, 2025** – A five-year-old girl is critically injured after being brutally raped by a 17-year-old boy in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh. The incident, which occurred during a marriage function on February 22nd, has sparked outrage and protests from local residents.
The accused, who was reportedly intoxicated, took the girl to an isolated house where he committed the heinous act. The child was found unconscious with severe injuries, including grievous wounds to her private parts requiring reconstructive surgery, deep wounds on her jaw and head, and scratch and bite marks on her face. She received initial treatment at a local hospital before being transferred to Gwalior for specialized care. Doctors described her injuries as “unimaginable cruelty” and said she required 28 stitches to close her wounds.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, MP from nearby Guna, reacted swiftly, calling the victim “my daughter” and assuring that the perpetrator would not be spared. He stated that he had spoken to the family and directed authorities to take strict action to deter similar crimes. The minister also confirmed the girl’s condition was stable.
The accused has been arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Local residents are demanding exemplary punishment for the accused, voicing their anger and demanding increased safety measures for women and children.
