**Mumbai, February 28, 2025** – A fire broke out this morning on the 42nd floor of a high-rise residential building in Byculla, south Mumbai. The blaze, which started around 10:45 am in one of the twin Salette 27 buildings on Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, resulted in thick black smoke visible from a distance. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

Fire tenders and emergency services, including the BEST (Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport), police, and 108 ambulance services, responded swiftly to the incident. Firefighting operations are currently underway, and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
