**Alappuzha, Feb 28, 2025** – Three renowned Kathakali artists have been honored by the Kathakali Aswadaka Sangham (KAS) in Mavelikara. Thalavady Aravindan received the inaugural Pandalam Kerala Varma Smriti – KAS Award for his acting. Kalamandalam Surendran was awarded the first Thakazhi Kuttan Pillai Smriti – KAS Award for his contributions as a musician. Fact Mohanan was presented with the Chennithala Chellappan Pillai Birth Centenary Award for his acting. The awards celebrate excellence in Kathakali, a classical Indian dance-drama form.
