**TAMPA, FL** – WWE has announced that veteran superstar Rey Mysterio will be out of action indefinitely following a vicious attack by The New Day on the February 10th episode of Monday Night Raw.
Mysterio, fresh from a losing effort against Logan Paul in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match, was ambushed by Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods after the bell. The assault left Mysterio injured and sidelined.
While The New Day continued their aggressive streak on the February 24th Raw, defeating Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro of the LWO, WWE commentators confirmed Mysterio’s status as “out indefinitely” due to the injuries sustained in the prior week’s attack. The New Day further extended their reign of terror by attacking Wilde, Del Toro, and even Dragon Lee, who attempted to intervene.
