The painting, created by freelance artist Manoj Kumar S, a childhood friend of Santhosh, uses the bougainvillea bush that Santhosh cultivated six years ago as a natural frame for the portrait. The plant, initially a twig rescued from a garbage dump, now thrives, its pink blooms forming a stunning backdrop for the girl’s face. The artwork, completed in two days using acrylic paint, is the second iteration on the wall, with the first having faded over time. This time, Manoj’s design complements the plant’s current growth.
