**Bengaluru, February 27, 2025** – Seven men, including a known rival, have been arrested for the brutal murder of Hyder Ali, a 38-year-old rowdy sheeter, in Bengaluru. Ali was attacked with machetes and sharp weapons near a football stadium in the early hours of February 23rd, sustaining over 56 stab wounds. He died at Bowring Hospital.
Police identified Nayaz Pasha, also a rowdy sheeter, as the prime accused. Pasha, who had a long-standing feud with Ali, allegedly plotted the murder and orchestrated the attack. Ali was ambushed as he returned home on a motorcycle after a night out. His friend, who was riding the motorcycle, sustained minor injuries but escaped serious harm.
The Ashok Nagar police apprehended the suspects after analyzing CCTV footage and utilizing local intelligence. A police officer stated that further investigations are underway to determine if others were involved.
Police records indicate that Ali had a history sheet dating back to 2014, with 11 cases against him, including attempted murder, assault, and drug-related offenses.
